‘Bring Back BLACKPINK’: BABYMONSTER & Jisoo’s Actions Spark Longing For Superstar Girl Group

Despite the recent activities of BABYMONSTER and Jisoo, fans are feeling a stronger sense of longing for BLACKPINK than ever before.

On May 11, 2024, BABYMONSTER had their inaugural fan meeting in Japan, marking the start of their Asia fan meeting tour. In addition to performing songs from their debut mini-album, this up-and-coming girl group from YG Entertainment also showcased some popular hits from their labelmates. Among the songs they performed was BLACKPINK’s “As If It’s Your Last,”which has garnered over 1.3 billion views on a video of their performance.

Despite technical issues causing the music to stop abruptly twice during the performance of this particular BLACKPINK song, the audience was still pleasantly surprised. The members of BABYMONSTER handled the situation with professionalism, continuing to perform without displaying their frustration.

BABYMONSTER’s exemplary professionalism in handling the unexpected situation quickly gained widespread attention on social media, with numerous individuals expressing admiration for the composure exhibited by the group’s rookie idols.

After BABYMONSTER’s rendition of “As If It’s Your Last,”fans were flooded with nostalgia for BLACKPINK. Since finishing their “BORN PINK”global tour in September 2023 and their performance at Buckingham Palace in November 2023, fans have been eagerly anticipating the next opportunity to see all four members together. Given the rarity of seeing the group as a whole, many are longing for a chance to see them soon.

Jisoo recently took to her Instagram to promote BLACKPINK’s collaboration with the digital platform VEVE Vibes. The post included AI-generated images of all four members and caused a stir among fans who eagerly await the launch of the game in May 2024, hoping for a real comeback.

Currently, the members of BLACKPINK are prioritizing their individual projects. Jisoo is currently occupied with her acting career, while Jennie has recently collaborated with other musicians and is currently in the process of creating her upcoming album. In the meantime, Lisa is engrossed in filming “The White Lotus”and there are speculations that she may also be preparing for a solo album under RCA Records. Additionally, Rosé has been teasing fans with hints of her upcoming solo album.
