Earlier, the singer created controversy with her revelation in the book that Timberlake had pressured her into getting an abortion. In that moment, she also disclosed that Justin was against the idea of having a child, stating that they were not prepared for parenthood and were too young.

According to Britney Spears, she would not have chosen to have an abortion if the decision had been hers alone. She also shared that Justin had expressed his certainty in not wanting to become a father. She described the experience of having an abortion as “one of the most painful things”she had ever gone through.

During the period of 1999 to 2002, Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake were in a relationship. They were both born in 1981, making them approximately 18 to 21 years old at the time. It has been estimated that Spears had an abortion at the age of 19.
