“Broken” Warzone melee weapon takes over Rebirth Island

If you are familiar with Call of Duty: Warzone’s meta in Season 3, you would have noticed the changes, such as the inclusion of weapons like the BP50 JAK Revenger and Striker 9. However, there is one melee weapon on Rebirth Island that is causing frustration among players and they are becoming fed up with it.

Ever since the game’s launch, melee weapons have been a fluctuating aspect of the Warzone meta. One highly favored choice was the Kali Sticks, known for their lightning-fast takedowns of opponents in close range.

The Tonfa seems to be heading down the same path as it becomes increasingly popular and frustrating in Rebirth, just as it was for Warzone players who consistently complained about it.

Just like the Kali Sticks, the Tonfa is a single baton that far surpasses all other Melee weapons in terms of range and speed when the melee button is spammed.

This implies that if an opponent wielding a Tonfa approaches you, it is highly improbable that you will emerge victorious unless you are able to land precise headshots or successfully immobilize your opponents by tripping them and creating more space between you.

“BrendelFRL requested on Twitter/X that the tonfa and shield be nerfed, as well as the Riot Shield. They argued that these items are overpowered and do not fit in a shooting game, making gameplay unviable.”

MissJessx went as far as to request a ban and nerf for the game in Ranked Resurgence, expressing that it has become unreasonably excessive.

An added disadvantage is that the Tonfa becomes available at player Level 4, so unless you are a beginner, most players already have access to it and can use it.
