“Brutal” Auto-catcher fails haunt Pokemon Go players

Auto-catchers, such as the Pokemon Go Plus +, are extremely useful for avid players who wish to catch Pokemon while pursuing other activities. They can also be utilized with Pokemon Sleep.

These tools assist with hatching Pokemon Eggs and catching random Pokemon without requiring you to manually open Pokemon Go, offering a convenient way to keep track of your leveling progress. Although they can be beneficial, they have also caused some unfortunate incidents, as some players have found out.

In a fan discussion, a player posed a question to the community about their worst auto-catcher experiences. They shared a photo of a devastating loss of a Shiny Corsola and asked for others to share their own stories. The responses from other players in the thread did not disappoint.

Whats the dirtiest your auto-catcher has done you? I’ll go first… byu/randomlybrian inpokemongo

The individual who made the initial post received support from fellow Pokemon Go players, as one individual pointed out, “This is why you shouldn’t check the journal…it only causes pain, never assistance.”The original player playfully replied, “The journal can be both generous and cruel…mostly just cruel though lol.”

One person expressed their disappointment, stating, “This would be devastating for me…that’s why I avoid checking the journal. Corsola is one of my top 5 most wanted Shiny Pokemon. Where are you from? And just to answer, I did check the journal while on a cruise and a Shiny Zorua escaped. Rest in peace.”

Despite the emotional nature of the thread, even event Pokemon were mentioned. One player shared their disappointment after failing to catch a Shiny Moon Crown Pikachu at Go Fest in New York. They had attempted to catch it themselves, but unfortunately, the Pikachu still managed to escape.

The Galarian birds were a frequent topic of discussion in the replies. One Pokemon Go player sadly shared, “I missed a Galarian bird two times in the span of two days.”Similarly, others joined in, sharing their own unfortunate encounters with the elusive Galarian fowl.

As one fan wisely stated, “Always remember the first rule of auto catching: never check the log.”Whether you prefer using the Pokemon Go Plus + or playing hands-on, it’s advisable to manually hunt for Shinies rather than relying on a tool to prevent disappointment.
