Great news, ARMYs!
Following a two-year period of service, BTS member Jin has been officially discharged from the military. Continue reading for heartwarming photos of the reunion between the idol and his fellow group members.
On the 12th morning, Jin was finally discharged after completing his 1-and-a-half year active-duty military service.
In December 2022, he joined the 5th Infantry Division Recruit Training Battalion in Yeoncheon, Gyeonggi-do as an assistant instructor and remained dedicated until the completion of his service.
Despite being a top star, the male idol chose to have a calm and modest discharge day, spending it with fellow soldiers and journalists.
As he left through the gate, Jin greeted the soldiers and displayed his camaraderie by embracing them and shedding tears. Following that, he saluted the reporters with a dignified demeanor.
Prior to the event, K-pop fans, particularly the ARMYs, are kindly requested to avoid visiting the site in order to prevent large gatherings and ensure safety for all.
Instead, Jin made a commitment to meet with his fans the next day, June 13, at “2024 FESTA,”an in-person celebration of their debut anniversary. The event will take place at Jamsil Indoor Gymnasium in Jamsil Sports Complex, Songpa-gu, Seoul.
The initial portion of the event will be focused on “Jin’s Greeting,”where 1000 fans will have the opportunity to hug the global star. This idea was specifically proposed by Jin with the goal of forming a stronger bond with ARMYs. In the second part, there will be segments that showcase the side of Jin that fans have been longing to see.
As assured, there were no ARMYs present in person. Instead, the fandom arranged different placards, banners, and balloons at the location to display their support.
In the interim, the BTS members took on the role of representing the ARMYs and expressed their love for Jin by personally greeting him upon his release.
The six members, consisting of RM, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook, organized a small celebration with flowers and music to welcome Jin. As soon as they saw each other, they embraced and showed their strong bond of brotherhood.
Jin’s face lit up with a smile as he spotted the members. RM added to the vibrant and cheerful atmosphere by approaching him, playing the saxophone. After exchanging greetings with the reporters, they all climbed into their cars and drove off.
Despite all members being currently in the military, they still made an effort by taking a leave from their respective camps. Jimin and Jungkook even went the extra mile by rushing to see their eldest brother while dressed in their military uniforms.
Regrettably, due to unforeseen circumstances, Suga was unable to be present on site. However, it has been reported that he will join the other members at the HYBE office to complete the septet during their gathering. After that, they plan to discreetly commemorate Jin’s discharge at a location in Seoul.
