BTS Jin made the group’s 11th anniversary celebration even more unforgettable as he captured the hearts of ARMYs with his participation.
Just one day after being released from his military service, Jin brought joy to his fans at the 2024 FESTA celebrations by hosting a highly anticipated hug event and performing live renditions of his hit songs, such as “Moon”and “The Astronaut.”
The most unexpected moment of the evening, however, was when he performed “Super Tuna”live and included a fresh verse!

On December 4, 2021, Jin celebrated his birthday by debuting “Super Tuna,”an original trot song, accompanied by a delightful music video filmed at Dockweiler Beach in Playa Del Rey, California.

The release was initially meant as a lighthearted present for ARMYs, but the song soon gained a momentum of its own.
A spontaneous TikTok dance challenge surfaced, causing Jin to openly express his discomfort on the fan community platform Weverse.

Jin uploaded a post on Weverse in an attempt to stop the trend.
“No, but please don’t do a ‘Super Tuna’ challenge that I did not plan. No, I’m so embarrassed…”
Despite feeling embarrassed at first, the song’s popularity continued to rise. Jin playfully expressed his concerns about BIGHIT MUSIC potentially expecting more from him due to the success of “Super Tuna,”even going as far as joking about the idea of writing a second verse.
In addition, he stated:
“No but there are so many other songs, why are you doing a ‘Super Tuna’ challenge.. if this gets bigger, the company might say to make a second verse, stop it~~~~~”
Much to the joy of ARMYs, Jin’s worries were proven true in the most satisfying manner.
At the 2024 FESTA celebrations, Jin debuted the live performance of “Super Tuna”and surprised fans by revealing an extended version of the song. The added verse has already been transcribed and translated by some dedicated fans.

Jin revealed that he collaborated with producer Bumzu on the extended version and teased the potential release of the new recording as an official version.
