The Songpa Police Station in Seoul notified TenAsia, a Korean media outlet, on June 18 that the ongoing sexual harassment case involving BTS Jin is currently in the pre-investigation stage.
The importance of taking into account the victim’s perspective (in this case, Jin himself) was also emphasized by them, and as a result, they are currently in contact with Jin’s agency, Big Hit.
However, a police report was filed in regards to an incident at a hug event, in which a fan attempted to sexually harass BTS’s Jin.
During the 2024 FESTA, held on the 13th, BTS member Jin organized a hug event with 1,000 fans. Although the majority of fans followed the orderly process of hugging Jin, one fan unexpectedly tried to kiss him and made other sudden movements, causing uproar within the BTS fandom.
