On August 6, the idol became a trending topic after being apprehended by the authorities for riding a scooter while under the influence of alcohol on his way home.

Around 11 p.m., while in Nine One Hannam, Suga suddenly stumbled and fell to the ground as he turned in his Hannamdong apartment complex. Three police officers happened to be patrolling the vicinity and quickly responded to the alert caused by Suga’s fall.

As a result, Suga was brought to a nearby station where examinations revealed that the idol had a reported alcohol level of 0.227. This incident triggered a series of debates, discussions, and investigations surrounding the idol’s DUI case.

Korean media has delved deeper into the situation, releasing CCTV clips of the incident online. However, some of the evidence has sparked anger among the rapper’s fans, who are frustrated by the misinformation and inaccuracies.

On August 23, Suga made an appearance at the Yongsan Police Station in Seoul. The celebrity also expressed regret for the controversy and pledged to assist with the investigations diligently.

“First of all, I am deeply sorry, as I am truly reflecting on having disappointed many fans and people (by my actions). I will cooperate and go through the investigations with diligence. I would like to apologize to everyone once again.”
