On July 31st, images of BTS’s J-hope during his military service circulated extensively on online platforms, including X (previously known as Twitter).
Two months prior to his official discharge, J-Hope attended the training completion ceremony on July 31st with a calm demeanor. He is currently serving as an assistant instructor at BaekHo Training Center Division 36 and is scheduled to be discharged on October 17th.
According to witnesses at the completion ceremony, this would mark the end of J-Hope’s time as an instructor for trainees. An officer at the training center expressed their pride in having the superstar as part of their unit and noted that this group of soldier trainees were the last ones he trained before his discharge.
During the completion ceremony, J-Hope was captured on video bowing to the families of the trainees as a greeting. As the audience applauded, he shyly smiled and then beamed brightly. J-Hope expertly handled the crowd, ensuring that the training completion ceremony ran smoothly.
In October of last year, J-Hope gained attention for being chosen as an elite warrior. He shared his excitement and pride about serving as an assistant instructor, saying, “I feel just as proud as I did when promoting with BTS.”
