BTS’s Jimin, MUSE Release D-day: A Further Grown Musical Journey

This latest album, released approximately 16 months after “FACE,”delves into the experience of facing one’s authentic self. With “MUSE,”the artist takes listeners on a quest to discover the sources of inspiration around “me.”

The central focus of the album is the concept of “love”. It consists of 7 songs, including the lead single “Who”, as well as “Rebirth”, “Interlude: Showtime”, “Smeraldo Garden Marching Band”, “Slow Dance”, “Be Mine”, and “Closer Than This”.

Jimin personally penned and composed six tracks, infusing his heartfelt tales into the lyrics. He expresses the journey of searching for love, at times wandering along the way.

The producer Pdogg, who previously collaborated with Jimin on the track “FACE”, also contributed to this album. On July 19th, Pdogg shared his insights on the production process through BigHit Music.

Reminiscing about the making of the album, Pdogg stated, “Our main goal was to accurately convey Jimin’s emotions and experiences through the music.”

He mentioned, “Our time in Los Angeles was filled with creativity, and that may have influenced us to create upbeat and optimistic songs.”

He clarified that the album was conceptual, with the goal of capturing the exhilaration one experiences when envisioning a “muse”in the songs.

“He suggested, “If you listen while focusing on the track order, you’ll be able to fully experience the flow of emotions. It will make the listening experience more enjoyable.”

Pdogg furthermore disclosed the production process of the title track “Who”, stating, “We collaborated with Jon Bellion in New York and worked together to create it. I recall Jimin being a bit reserved when communicating his desired expression to Jon.”

Furthermore, he recounted an encounter with Jimmy Fallon, explaining that they had crossed paths with him purely by coincidence in the neighboring studio. Once they had completed their task, they proceeded to play the song for him as their first audience.

Pdogg commended Jimin, stating that he is an artist who consistently maintains a diligent attitude. He mentioned that after completing ‘FACE’, Jimin promptly began working on ‘MUSE’. Pdogg even wondered if Jimin’s hard work was due to his upcoming military enlistment.

He expressed, “Thanks to Jimin’s dedication, you’ll have the opportunity to witness his continued growth in his musical journey”and encouraged high anticipation for the new album.
