On June 12, Jin finished his military duty at the 5th Infantry Division Recruit Training Center in Yeoncheon County, Gyeonggi Province. Without wasting any time, he started his activities to show his gratitude to his fans who had been eagerly anticipating his return. His first commitment was brief and he quickly moved on to his next engagement. After his discharge ceremony in Yeoncheon, Jin joined his group members and went to the HYBE headquarters in Yongsan, Seoul, where they held a live broadcast together.
During the broadcast, Jin briefly expressed his thoughts on his discharge, promising to be a Seokjin who will frequent visits in the future. He also extended his gratitude and love to all the fans who patiently waited for him.
According to Big Hit Music, the live video garnered more than 900,000 simultaneous viewers. It was watched in 211 countries and regions, with a total of over 3.5 million views recorded.
The combination of this being Jin’s initial schedule post-discharge and the presence of other BTS members at the HYBE building resulted in a large gathering of fans near the building to commemorate his release. The police estimated that approximately 500 fans were in attendance, prompting the dispatch of thirty-five officers to maintain order.
On June 14, the day after he is released, Jin will attend the “2024 FESTA”at the Seoul Olympic Stadium and have direct interaction with his fans. The event, which Jin will be present for, will have two segments. The first part will be a private session where Jin will have a free hug session with around 1,000 fans who have been chosen beforehand.
Jin will invite 4,000 fans in the second part and will also continue to interact with them by performing approximately three songs.
The ‘2024 FESTA’ will feature not only Jin’s activities, but also other events that encourage fan participation.
