BTS’s Jin Pays for The Half-Star Hotel in Lost Island Team’s Gathering

During a telephone interview with Sports Seoul on August 19th, PD Kim Myung-jin, the director of “The Half-Star Hotel in Lost Island,”revealed that despite Jin’s busy schedule, he willingly joined their gathering after filming. He also secretly paid for the meal.

The PD praised Jin for his dedication, noting that he was constantly busy with filming advertisements and appearing on broadcasts. Despite only getting 2-3 hours of sleep on filming days, Jin never complained about exhaustion and continued to work without any days off. He explained that he was motivated by his desire to show his fans everything he had to offer.

The reason for my pressure was the fact that Jin is a globally renowned star. However, I was pleasantly surprised by his pure and good nature. Our show is based on a deserted island, where we aim for authenticity and minimal directing, resulting in many unpredictable situations. Despite this, Jin never complained and always gave his best effort. Even when it rained heavily during filming, he never hesitated and I couldn’t help but admire his dedication and friendship.

Jin will demonstrate his exceptional cooking abilities and physical prowess at the Half-Star Hotel located on Lost Island.

From the start of the shoot, Jin’s appearance caught the attention of everyone. PD Kim was taken aback by the close relationship between Chef Lee Yeon-bok and Jin. In fact, during a previous shoot, Chef Lee Yeon-bok and the production team had discussed the possibility of having Jin on the show, as he had recently completed his military service. PD Kim also mentioned that Jin saw this as a chance to share with fans and the public what he had been working on since his discharge.

The PD described the atmosphere on set as very positive, stating that Jin had previously appeared on “Please Take Care Of My Refrigerator”with Chef Ahn Jung-hwan and Lee Yeon-bok, and had a close relationship with Sandeul. He emphasized the importance of the cast’s chemistry for the success of the program, and mentioned that they were able to film comfortably without any concerns.

Regarding Jin’s potential return to the program, PD Kim stated, “I purposefully avoided bringing it up to avoid pressuring him. He is currently occupied with other commitments.”However, PD Kim also expressed, “If he chooses to rejoin us, the production team would be thrilled to have him back.”

The production team also conveyed their appreciation for the international audience’s interest, which has heightened their hopes for the main show to achieve strong viewership ratings.

The drama “The Half-Star Hotel in Lost Island”featuring BTS’s Jin will be broadcasted at 9 p.m. on August 19th.
