According to the 2024 Paris Olympics Organizing Committee, Jin is set to be the first torchbearer for the Louvre segment of the torch relay in Paris on July 14th. His appearance was confirmed on July 12th (local time) and he will depart for France today, July 11th.
At 8:30 PM, in front of the Pyramid of the Louvre Museum, Jin will commence his segment.
Previously, BigHit Music, his agency, stated that BTS’s Jin will be one of the torchbearers for the ‘2024 Paris Summer Olympics’ relay. Jin’s role in the relay is anticipated to involve promoting messages of “unity”and “peace”.
The torch relay for the “2024 Paris Summer Olympics”began in April in Olympia, Greece and will continue through 64 regions, including city centers and beaches in France, until the official start of the games.
Approximately 10,000 individuals, including renowned soccer player Didier Drogba, are set to take part in the Olympic torch relay. Jin and his fellow torchbearers will visit significant landmarks that represent the hosting nation during the tour.
