The Open Cinema section has invited the documentary “RM: Right People, Wrong Place”(directed by Lee Seok-jun), which chronicles the creation of RM’s solo album and follows his personal life for eight months leading up to his enlistment. The film will be screened at an outdoor theater.

The Busan International Film Festival will be featuring a documentary about the production of RM’s second solo album, “Right Place, Wrong Person”, which was released in May. It showcases footage from the eight months leading up to his enlistment in the military. This will be the first time a K-POP documentary will be screened in a large outdoor setting at the festival.

The recently revealed images from the movie depict RM exuding a carefree energy, captivating the viewers.

The anticipation for the festival is heightened as it provides fans with a unique opportunity to watch RM, who has been serving in the military since his enlistment in December, on a large outdoor screen.

This marks the second occasion in which a documentary will be presented in the Open Cinema section of the Busan International Film Festival.

Despite RM’s absence due to his military service, the festival organizers have emphasized that the documentary is intended to appeal not only to fans, but also to a wider audience. The director and other cast members are still expected to attend the festival and engage with the audience.

Dahyun

Dahyun from TWICE has received an official invitation to the Busan International Film Festival for her debut acting role in the film “You Are the Apple of My Eye”(directed by Jo Young-myung).

The movie, which was extended an invitation to the “Korean Cinema Today – Panorama” category, portrays the developing feelings of a young love story between a troubled student and the exemplary classmate tasked with keeping an eye on him. The announcement of Dahyun’s role in the film was initially disclosed by Xportsnews.

This movie is a retelling of the well-known Taiwanese film “You Are the Apple of My Eye”, and it features Dahyun and singer-actor Jinyoung, effectively capturing the vivacious and exuberant essence of their roles.

Fans are eagerly anticipating seeing a new side of Dahyun on screen as she makes her acting debut since joining TWICE in 2015.
