On March 27, 2023 KST, BIGHIT MUSIC made a heartfelt announcement revealing that BTS members Suga and j-hope each contributed 100 million KRW (approximately $68, 200 USD) to aid recovery efforts following catastrophic wildfires in Ulsan, Gyeongbuk, and Gyeongnam regions of South Korea. These wildfires have been described as some of the most destructive in the country’s history.

Suga directed his generous donation to the Korean Red Cross, ensuring that essential supplies such as food, water, and daily necessities reach those who have been impacted by the fires. This contribution continues his history of charitable acts; he previously donated ₩100 million in 2022 to assist victims of wildfires in Uljin and Samcheok.

Similarly, j-hope’s donation was made through the Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association. His funds are aimed at providing emergency relief, facilitating community rebuilding efforts, and supporting individuals vulnerable to disasters. His past philanthropic endeavors include aid for flood victims in 2023 and contributions to the families affected by the Jeju Air Flight 2216 crash.
