The individual filing the complaint is thought to be an admirer of the K-pop group LE SSERAFIM.
On October 29th, a user identified as Ne○○○ took to social media to announce that they had officially lodged a complaint with the Ministry of Defense concerning V.
This complaint was sparked by Min Hee-jin’s comments about V during a live broadcast, where she recounted her experiences with him. Appearing on a streaming session led by music critic Kim Young-dae, she shared, “V sometimes reaches out to me while he is in the military. Despite facing challenges, he joyfully checks in by asking, ‘Is everything okay?’ He was particularly concerned about the right time to connect when this issue began.”
She continued, “On my birthday, V sent me an early morning message from the military to wish me a happy birthday. He has such a vibrant spirit. I was genuinely touched by his thoughtfulness—one doesn’t do this kind of thing without a good heart. I sincerely appreciated his gesture.”
In light of this, the complainant formally raised an issue titled “Soldier V Sent a Text Early in the Morning,” claiming, “V sent the message on December 16th, 2023, just five days following his enlistment on December 11th, 2023, while he was still a recruit. This is a significant breach of military protocol, and I suspect that due to V’s celebrity status, military personnel may have overlooked his phone use.”
V enlisted on December 11th, 2023, at the 27th Training Regiment, where he completed five weeks of basic training, and is presently assigned to the 2nd Corps Ssangyong Unit in Chuncheon.
The complainant further stated, “I urge a thorough inquiry into this matter. Moreover, there was a previous incident involving Suga (Min Yoongi) from the same group being arrested for driving under the influence while performing public service. I intend to circulate this complaint in various online forums.”
The user Ne○○○ has been active in online discussions about LE SSERAFIM. Since the conflict between Min Hee-jin and HYBE arose in April, this user has consistently supported HYBE while disparaging both NewJeans and Min Hee-jin.
Following the rejection of her request for an injunction to reclaim her position as CEO of ADOR on October 29th, Min Hee-jin issued a statement saying, “The court has not judged the validity of the shareholder agreement. The agreement with HYBE remains intact.”
