<p>One of the recently buffed rifles in Warzone boasts the “fastest” Time to Kill (TTK) in the battle royale genre, but there’s an important consideration to keep in mind while using this Modern Warfare 2 weapon.
The Season 6 update for Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone signifies the last major shift in the battle royale meta for the foreseeable future. Further significant changes won’t occur until the Black Ops 6 integration with Warzone.
Currently, the Season 6 update has provided buff enhancements to several Modern Warfare 2 weapons. Among them, the Cronen Squall, Lachmann-762, and TR-76 Geist have all received improvements in recoil and aim down sight times.
Though the Squall has emerged as a fringe meta choice thanks to these enhancements, it still doesn’t take the top spot as the best battle rifle from MW2.
The prestigious title belongs to the FTAC Recon, as noted by Warzone expert WhosImmortal. In his September 21 video, he discussed the newly established meta changes following the Season 6 update, emphasizing that the Recon exhibits the best TTK in the game.
“This is such a high-risk, high-reward choice,” WhosImmortal remarked. “It has essentially the fastest TTK in the game; however, its ammo capacity is poor, and its control, despite the buff, remains subpar.”
However, WhosImmortal did highlight that the weapon can be “ridiculously powerful” in the “right hands,” characterizing it as one of the “more unique guns” in all of Warzone.

The power of the Recon is also made more complex by its status as a semi-automatic weapon, necessitating a more tactical approach to engagements. You cannot rush into a gunfight and expect immediate success. Strategic thinking is crucial.
Nevertheless, if you have mastered the capabilities of the battle rifle, you’re likely already aware of how effective it can be, even prior to its recent upgrade.
