Buffed MW2 SMG is better than ever in Warzone Season 5

Buffed MW2 SMG is better than ever in Warzone Season 5

Despite receiving a buff in Season 5, one of Modern Warfare 2’s most underrated SMGs continues to be overlooked in Warzone.

Despite some Modern Warfare 2 weapons having their moment in the spotlight, their integration with Warzone in Modern Warfare 3 has been challenging. However, these weapons do not typically remain popular for an extended period of time.

The RPK equipped with the JAK Cataclysm kit and the VEL 46 are both prime examples. The LMG transformed into a powerful one-shot sniper, quickly establishing dominance in the meta before ultimately receiving a nerf. At the beginning of Season 5, the VEL was highly regarded as a top choice, but it has since declined in popularity.

Still, if you are considering switching to a different MW2 weapon, you should not disregard the Vaznev-9K any longer. According to Warzone expert WhosImmortal, the SMG’s time-to-kill is on par with popular choices such as the Superi 46, Striker 9, and FJX Horus.

The YouTuber emphasized that the SMG has greatly improved and is now even more effective. Despite being overlooked by some players, he believes that once fully upgraded, its damage range is exceptional and its iron sights are simple to use.

  • Muzzle: ZEHMN35 Compensator
  • Barrel: KAS-1 254mm
  • Underbarrel: Paracord Grip
  • Ammunition: 9mm High Grain
  • Magazine: 45-round mag

Despite efforts, MW2 guns have struggled to attain and maintain popularity. The Vaznev is one such weapon that has failed to make a significant impact.

WZRanked’s statistics confirm this, ranking it as the 50th most popular weapon in Warzone.

Evidently, the statistics do not accurately reflect its true capabilities. Therefore, taking a chance on it will result in a pleasant surprise. It is highly competitive.
