Buffed Warzone Assault Rifle: Rapid TTK & No Recoil Take Over Meta

The BAL-27 has long been a beloved Assault Rifle in the Call of Duty series, but it initially fell short of expectations when it returned in Warzone’s Season 3 Reloaded update. Fortunately, Season 5 brought some necessary buffs that have elevated it to a top choice among players.

The AR’s maximum damage range was significantly increased from 21.59 to 26.67 meters, and its recoil was adjusted to improve its effectiveness at long range and make its recoil pattern more predictable.

The recent changes to the BAL-27 have greatly improved its usability compared to its previous version. It is no longer limited to being a close-to-medium range Sniper Support, as its recoil has been significantly reduced and it can now effectively compete with other top options like the MTZ-556, MCW, and BP50 even at longer ranges.

These adjustments to recoil and damage range are particularly significant for the BAL-27, as the gun’s fire rate increases the longer the trigger is held down.

The weapon now has the ability to be controlled more effectively at a distance, resulting in a faster TTK than ever before. This is due to the increased ease of maintaining aim on the target while the fire rate is at its highest.

WhosImmortal analyzed the TTK statistics for the BAL-27 in his August 11 YouTube video and concluded that it is now a top choice in the current meta. This AR is no longer considered underwhelming.

The renowned YouTuber utilized TrueGameData to uncover that the BAL-27 currently possesses a highly competitive time-to-kill across all ranges, but its efficiency is particularly impressive when firing at long distances due to the ability to increase the fire rate through sustained shots.

The gun’s fire rate is less impressive when used at closer ranges, and thus we suggest equipping a strong SMG such as the Static-HV or AMR9 for close-quarters combat.
