Season 3 of Warzone brought about a variety of balancing adjustments, including nerfs to popular close-range choices such as the RAM-9 and AMR9. As is often the case, when one option falls on the meta charts, another rises in its place, and in this instance, it is the Renetti.
Although the Renetti may not be considered overpowered on its own, equipping it with the JAK Ferocity Carbine Kit conversion kit turns it into a formidable SMG that excels at close-range combat. Its performance can even surpass that of top SMGs, which has led players to request significant nerfs.
On the CODWarzone subreddit, a user posted about the Pistol with conversion kit, describing it as “spreading fast and ruining the game.”The user also mentioned that before Season 3, SMGs were “mostly perfectly balanced”and players had the option to use “4 or 5 different SMGs.”
However, the balance has been disrupted with the introduction of Renetti, which boasts a 30% faster time-to-kill compared to the fastest SMG.
The OP’s opinion was shared by numerous others, as evidenced by a comment from one user who stated, “I completely agree. The close-range gameplay was headed in the right direction. I was pleased to see that all weapons were nerfed without any buffs. Personally, I believe the time-to-kill should be increased even further; no gun should be able to achieve a time-to-kill faster than 600 milliseconds with all headshots.”
Many were not shocked, as it is not uncommon for a few guns to break every now and then in CoD. They are already anticipating a nerf: “It is not uncommon for the developers to intentionally make one gun overpowered for a few weeks before ultimately nerfing it and shifting the focus to another gun.”
Some people also noted that the Renetti was already strong even before Season 3, stating, “I want to point out that the Renetti was actually improved weeks prior to Season 3. I think it just went unnoticed by most.”
In Season 3, the damage range for the Renetti was raised to 12.95 meters, a significant increase from its previous range of 11.68 meters. Players are eagerly anticipating a balancing adjustment from the developers, potentially in the upcoming mid-season Reloaded update or even sooner.
