Fortnite players utilizing Shuri’s Black Panther Claws have uncovered a bug that catapults them several hundred feet into the air.
Shuri’s Black Panther Claws were introduced in the Chapter 5 Season 4 update, titled Absolute Doom. These Claws serve not only as a melee weapon but also significantly enhance a player’s momentum.
The weapon’s Pounce attack contributes to altering movement patterns with its unique leap and dive capabilities.
However, players have been experiencing a glitch that transforms the Black Panther Claws into more than just basic movement and melee enhancements.
Numerous Reddit users have posted gameplay videos showcasing a bizarre Fortnite bug that activates specifically when using the Black Panther Claws. In one clip, the player executes a Pounce followed by a Slash attack in rapid succession, resulting in them being teleported high above the Fortnite map.
The player remains airborne for a full minute before gently descending back to Fortnite Island, fortunately without taking any damage upon landing.
In a separate incident, another user uploaded a similar video, showcasing the bug triggering after performing a dash maneuver. However, this player did not ascend nearly as high into the air.
Numerous other Fortnite players have reported facing the same issue while using the Black Panther Claws. One comment states, “I had this exact thing happen to me 2 weeks ago playing with my son! It was down to the final team, I went in for a pounce when it shot me up…”
Since Epic Games has yet to address this glitch, there is no official information regarding its cause.
Some players suspect that it may stem from a server desynchronization error, where the server loses track of a player’s position and subsequently resets them to Z=0, which is essentially where the battle bus starts.
This isn’t the first instance of a teleportation bug affecting Fortnite. Previously, in Chapter 2, players encountered a dilemma where opponents could teleport through solid walls.
