Bungie Addresses Destiny 2’s Pathfinder System with New Changes

Bungie, the developers of Destiny 2, have recently acknowledged and promised significant quality-of-life improvements for Episode II. These changes address a major issue that Guardians have been facing with the Pathfinder system.

Despite its recent struggles, Bungie has faced challenges with Destiny 2. The studio’s decision to downsize has caused players to lose confidence in the franchise. Additionally, the alterations to the game’s storyline and content structure have left the community uncertain about the future of Destiny 2.

Despite the challenges, the remaining developers have been diligently working on implementing various changes to the game to keep the player base satisfied. This includes a new adjustment that aims to make completing weekly tasks a smoother experience.

The upcoming update for Destiny 2 will bring a quality-of-life improvement by dividing the Ritual Pathfinder system into different activities. This will allow Guardians to concentrate on the specific activities they prefer to play.

The developers announced in a tweet that they are planning to split Pathfinder cards per activity in Episode II, including Crucible, Gambit, and Strikes.

Many Guardians have had an issue with the Pathfinder in the past, as it required them to participate in modes that they did not want to.

By separating these activities, it provides players with additional choices and routes to earn rewards every cycle. This eliminates the requirement to participate in Gambit or Crucible if desired, and allows the completion of only the Vanguard Pathfinder for rewards.

This system is expected to be released during Episode II, but as the release date has not been announced yet, it may be a while before the change is implemented on the live servers.

The developers provided us with a glimpse of how this feature may appear, showcasing three distinct screens for Crucible, Gambit, and Vanguard activities featuring different Pathfinders. Although it is still a work in progress, this preview gives us an idea of how the new feature will be implemented in Episode II.
