Bungo Stray Dogs Manga Shocks Readers by Killing Three Main Characters

The deaths of multiple main characters in Bungo Stray Dogs Chapters 117 and 118 have left readers stunned and in disbelief.

Despite being one of the most underrated seinen manga, Bungo Stray Dogs offers an exhilarating mix of supernatural battles and intense psychological warfare. However, it often receives criticism for its tendency to spare characters’ lives or revive them after death.

Despite the numerous complaints, nobody was expecting the sudden deaths of multiple main characters within just two chapters. In the 117th chapter, appropriately named ‘Understood’, Bram’s demise shocks everyone, leaving Akutagawa as the sole protector of Aya.

Furthermore, towards the conclusion of the chapter, Kunikida and Tanizaki confront the enigmatic Ame-no-Gozan while Atsushi frantically races to intervene. Unfortunately, his efforts are in vain as Kunikida meets a gruesome demise, leaving Atsushi to save Tanizaki just in the nick of time.

Despite this, the difficult times are still ongoing. But there is a glimmer of hope as Kenji and Suehiro suddenly appear at the scene, at least for the time being.

Despite its brevity, Kenji’s life comes to a tragic end as Atsushi helplessly watches him being killed. In just two chapters, Atsushi has already lost three of his comrades who he considers as his own family in the Armed Detective Agency. It goes without saying that he is overwhelmed with despair.

However, it’s not only Atsushi who is mourning the loss of Kunikida, Tanizaki, and Kenji. Fans are equally stunned by the fact that the Bungo Stray Dogs manga has taken the lives of three major characters. As expressed by one individual on X, “We may not understand what’s going on, but we all can’t help but cry.”

Another user, commenting on Jujutsu Kaisen’s creator Gege Akutami, expressed their belief that Asagiri and Gege had switched, questioning why the series suddenly had a happy ending while BSD was filled with deaths.

“A third person remarked, “He chose not to kill Chuuya and Dazai, but at what price?”while sharing a post.”

A fourth person joined the conversation, expressing their disapproval by saying, “Nooo, my child! Asagiri, why are you doing this to them? Just look at their little faces. I want to die – I still haven’t gotten over Kunikida, and now you’re taking away the sunshine of BSD.”

It appears that Bungo Stray Dogs has finally shed its reputation for avoiding killing. As a result, fans are now left pondering which character will meet their demise next.
