Burger King has announced the finalists for its eagerly awaited $1 million Whopper contest, which invited fans to design their ultimate burger for a generous prize.
The competition launched in February of this year, allowing enthusiasts of the iconic Whopper burger to submit their unique interpretations of this classic menu item. With a chance to win $1 million for the most successful burger creation, Burger King sifted through millions of entries before selecting a few outstanding finalists.
The finalists for the $1 million Whopper contest have been announced
A panel of experts has chosen three innovative burgers for you to vote on, including:
- Fried Pickle Ranch Whopper, crafted by Fabian from California – This burger features a quarter-pound flame-grilled beef patty topped with pickle ranch, lettuce, fried pickles, bacon, and Swiss cheese, all served on a toasted sesame seed bun.
- Maple Bourbon BBQ Whopper, designed by Calvin from California – This creation includes a quarter-pound flame-grilled beef patty with maple bourbon barbecue sauce, crispy onions & jalapenos, maple bacon seasoning, bacon, and American cheese, presented on a toasted sesame seed bun.
- Mexican Street Corn Whopper, created by Kelsie from Nebraska – This option showcases a quarter-pound flame-grilled beef patty with street corn spread, lettuce, tomato, Southwest-seasoned tortilla crisps, and Mexican spicy queso, all on a toasted sesame seed bun.

On the topic of the contest, Pat O’Toole, chief marketing officer of Burger King North America, stated: “The Million Dollar Whopper Contest was all about elevating [‘Have It Your Way’], and the creativity and thought that went into the submitted Whopper creations have truly impressed us.
“Narrowing it down to just three finalists was a challenging process, but we’re sure that our Guests will enjoy these unique and delicious takes on the beloved Whopper sandwich. We’re excited for them to be available in restaurants this fall.”
Burger King patrons can look forward to even more excitement this fall, as the chain is rumored to unveil a special ‘Addams Family’ themed menu in honor of Halloween.
