Episode 7 Recap of Bye Bye, Earth
In the previous installment, Belle and Gaff engaged in a fierce sword fight as the Weather Players called upon the Funeral rain to purify the Katakombe. Belle became aware of Gaff’s injury and discovered that he had battled and defeated Tom Collins, a priest from the Katakombe.
Belle was taken aback upon learning that Adonis’ father had passed away due to the god’s will. Feeling disheartened, she departed from Gaff. While returning home, she came across a delicate woman who appeared unfamiliar with the ways of the city.
Belle was taken aback when the woman disclosed that she was responsible for bringing the rain. She introduced herself as Sherry, the Lead Vocalist of the Weather Players, and the daughter of King Rawhide.
After taking care of Sherry, Belle requested for her to sing a song. After the song, Belle noticed that Sherry appeared weak. Gaff then showed up and escorted Sherry away.
In the meantime, Adonis informed Kir that he served as a royal inspector responsible for assessing solists with damaged swords. He also mentioned that he utilized the Ashes of the Tried, given to him by the priests, to heal these solists whenever necessary.
After Gaff shattered Tiziano’s sword, Adonis was able to restore it. However, the sword had a detrimental effect on Tiziano, transforming him into a fiend.
Adonis had the desire to restore both Tiziano and Kir’s swords and observe the effects on the wielder. After combining the two swords into a new one, it was said to grant Kir unlimited power. Adonis was relieved to learn that this sword did not have the ability to corrupt its wielder.
Afterwards, Adonis admitted to Belle that he had feelings for her and expressed his desire to be in a relationship with her. Belle, blushing, responded that she would take some time to consider his proposal.
Adonis clarified that his inability to grow his own sword was a result of a curse placed on him by an elderly nomad who perished while defending against invaders at the Katakombe.
Since then, Adonis lived like a nomad, constantly seeking for purpose as the curse transferred to Tom Collins and manifested in his son.
Belle established a bond with him and extended an invitation for him to accompany her on an exciting journey.
The following day, Sherry approached Belle and asked her to clarify why she had mentioned that singing was difficult for her. Sherry admitted that she had been singing since she was a child, as she felt that it was the only way to gain attention from others.
Belle brought Sherry to the tavern and asked the troubadour to perform a song. Despite Sherry’s efforts to suppress her emotions, the song brought her to tears. Curious, she inquired if people still valued those who cry, as she yearned to feel wanted, just like Belle did when she cried while listening to the troubadour’s performance.
Sherry took Belle’s words to heart and understood that she did not have to seek validation from others or conform to their expectations. As a result, she shed more tears, following Belle’s advice.
What to Expect from Bye Bye, Earth Episode 8 (Speculative)
The sneak peek for episode 8 of Bye Bye, Earth, entitled A Ball Shaking Before the Fiend Flower, features Belle, Adonis, and their companions getting ready in formal attire for a ball.
Despite this, the situation takes a sinister turn when Adonis is depicted with blood on his face and Belle is wielding her sword. The title implies the emergence of another fiend, potentially Kir, similar to Tiziano.
It seems that Belle’s ultimate task before embarking on a nomadic lifestyle will be to confront and vanquish this unfamiliar foe.
