On June 21st, Harper’s Bazaar, a fashion magazine, published a pictorial featuring Byun Woo-seok. In the photos, he exudes a refreshing boyish charm while wearing a hot pink shirt, rain boots, and a striped shirt. He also showcases different charms, such as a chic all-black outfit. One photo, in which he is seen lounging on a sofa in an argyle-patterned knit and denim shorts, received a positive reaction from fans.
This pictorial was a joint project with Cartier’s Trinity jewelry, with Byun Woo-seok’s expert handling of the jewelry drawing attention.
In his interview, Byun Woo-seok expressed his thoughts on his current fame, stating, “It still feels surreal, almost like a dream. It’s amazing to see so many people recognizing me, understanding me on a deeper level, and showing even more love. I can’t help but wonder if I’ll ever experience another moment like this in my life.”
In addition, he disclosed that upon receiving the script for the last installment of “Lovely Runner,”he shed tears in solitude as he was not ready to bid farewell to the project. He expressed, “Episode 16 had such poignant moments. While Sol and Seon-jae are undoubtedly happy, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of sadness that brought me to tears. It finally hit me that the end was near when I read the script.”
After gathering my thoughts, I reached out to the writer, who shared that she also struggled with saying goodbye to Seon-jae and the project. Despite taking on new projects, I don’t think I will ever truly let go of Seon-jae. Whenever I find myself missing him, I will watch the drama again. I hope to maintain a friendship with him forever.
Despite facing numerous failures and criticisms, the actor persevered through the eight years since his debut in 2016. He revealed, “There were times when I questioned if this was the right path for me. It was a challenging journey, with failed auditions and constant feedback. However, someone once told me that it takes 10 years to truly succeed at something. With that in mind, I made a commitment to give it my all for 10 years. If I still couldn’t make it, I would walk away without any regrets. And with that determination, I continued to push forward.”
He expressed, “I have consistently relied on my own efforts. There were numerous occasions when I would shed tears on my way home from an unsuccessful audition. In those moments, I would remind myself, ‘You are capable, Woo-seok. Your opportunity will arrive. You have a good heart, so have faith in yourself.’ While I do not believe in fate, I do believe that everyone has a purpose in life.”
During this interview, Byun Woo-seok expressed, “I have come to realize that I am incredibly fortunate. At the same time, I am filled with pride for myself. I must have worked hard in life,”greatly touching the hearts of his fans.
