Byun Woo-seok, a rising star, achieved the top spot in the Hot Character Award on the global fandom platform UPICK. The award was held from June 17th to June 28th. In second place was Kim Soo-hyun, followed by Cha Eun-woo in third place.
“The “Hot Character Awards”is a popular vote that recognizes the outstanding performances of actors in Korean dramas and movies. Byun Woo-seok emerged as the winner with a total of 16,720,207 votes. In recognition of his victory, the actor will be awarded with an art canvas from Lotte World Mall.”
The advertisement to be displayed at Lotte World Mall will feature designs created by Byun Woo-seok’s fans. This is especially significant for both Byun Woo-seok and his fans as the chosen advertisement will be determined by fan votes.
Byun Woo-seok, who became a rising star after the immense success of the drama “Lovely Runner” which concluded in May, is currently on an Asian fanmeeting tour, connecting with fans worldwide. He will also be hosting a ‘SUMMER LETTER’ fanmeeting at Jangchung Gymnasium in Seoul on July 6th and 7th to meet with his Korean fans.
In preparation for the 2024 K-World Dream Awards, UPICK has been chosen as the official voting app. Prior to the awards ceremony on August 22nd at Jamsil Indoor Gymnasium in Seoul, UPICK will be hosting a vote for the Popularity Award in early July. Additionally, there will be a ticket event for dedicated K-pop fans.
