Caedrel’s Criticism of KCorp Fans’ Plan to Boo T1 and Faker

Karmine Corp fans are facing criticism for their intention to jeer at T1 and Lee ‘Faker’ Sang-hyeok during the Red Bull League Of Its Own event, as revealed by League streamer Marc Robert ‘Caedrel’ Lamont.

On July 17, it was announced that the event, hosted in Paris, would be a pre-season tournament featuring matchups that are not typically seen by fans, such as T1 and Karmine Corp.

KCorp’s reputation for having a passionate French fanbase can be attributed to its founders, Kamel ‘Kameto’ Kebir and Zouhair ‘Kotei’ Darji. The team’s supporters showed their enthusiasm on social media for the opportunity to cheer on their team at a home event, as well as their disdain for the rival teams and their fans.

“According to a popular post on X/ Twitter, Eh KarmineCorp’s sole responsibility is to spread awareness about the event and the opening of the ticket office within the community. The author of the post emphasized the importance of reaching every member of the public, without any exceptions.”

“According to another fan of KCorp, booting Faker with 15,000 people will have no impact.”

Caedrel, a former LEC caster and professional League player, expressed displeasure with the KCorp fans’ tendency to boo the greatest League of Legends player of all time, deeming their comments as “disgusting.”

The quoted part of the video starts at 24:10.

“During a Twitch stream on July 18, the speaker expressed their opinion that if T1 participates in the Red Bull League Of Its Own and the KCorp fans boo Faker, they believe KCorp should be disqualified from the LEC and banned.”

Fans of the French esports organization were not pleased with Caedrel’s remarks, with some responding that their comments were made in jest. Other commentators defended their right to express their disapproval of the opposing team.

The steamer has continued to hold his stance on the matter, stating that a portion of the KCorp fanbase is becoming too extreme.

“I am tired of the extreme fans of KC who constantly tweet or send offensive messages to players who leave their team, commentators who criticize their performance, streamers who express their opinions or make jokes, and even a highly respected figure in the game who serves as a role model for others. This has led to a situation where people are afraid to speak openly about KC, which is a disappointing reality,”Caedrel expressed on X.

At last year’s Red Bull pre-season event in Berlin, KCorp fans faced criticism for booing Faker. The organization’s owner, Kameto, spoke out against the fans’ behavior, clarifying that only a small number of individuals participated in the booing during an on-stage interview with the T1 player.

KCorp’s presence is anticipated to be significant with the event taking place in France. This will mark the second time that the fan base will witness their League team competing against formidable international adversaries, as the LEC franchise, which was recently established, has yet to secure a spot in any major Riot Games tournaments.
