LeBron James recently made waves on Twitter by urging Activision to include his son, Bronny, in Call of Duty with a personalized skin. Activision, surprised by the shoutout, didn’t just acknowledge his request—they offered a proposal of their own.
Crossovers in Call of Duty are not uncommon. The franchise has a history of collaborating with a variety of figures, including popular content creators, movie franchises, other gaming titles, and numerous celebrities. Calmitively, the CoD franchise has proven it is open to partnerships with a diverse array of collaborators.
This time, however, LeBron took the initiative by directly reaching out to Activision to facilitate this unique collaboration.
“Bronny just mentioned he wants his own ‘skin’. Activision, Call of Duty, let’s chat,” he tweeted.
The response from Activision was quick and engaging.

“We know Bronny is a shooter, let’s engage. The first father and son duo in NBA history—this could also mark a first for Call of Duty,” they replied.
The enthusiasm displayed by the Call of Duty account significantly boosts the chances of this collaboration happening, especially with LeBron, one of the most celebrated basketball players, leading the charge.
This wouldn’t be Activision’s first foray into integrating renowned athletes from traditional sports into the Call of Duty universe. Previously in MW2, stars like Lionel Messi, Neymar Jr., and Paul Pogba were introduced into the game at the same time, featuring some of football’s biggest icons.
Furthermore, LeBron and Bronny wouldn’t be the first basketball figures to appear in Call of Duty. Both Kevin Durant and Devin Booker have previously been honored with exclusive skins, which came along with distinct bundles that included signature weapon finishes.
As of now, it’s uncertain when these new skins might debut or if they would be ready in time for the release of Black Ops 6. Nonetheless, if both LeBron and Activision can find mutual agreement on a deal, the future possibilities are endless.
