With the Esports World Cup now behind us, CDL Rostermania 2025 is officially underway. Following underwhelming performances from certain teams, it wouldn’t be unexpected to witness some shuffling of rosters.
The usual offseason after CDL Champs was delayed due to the first-ever Esports World Cup, breaking from the typical season schedule.
During the previous Rostermania, FaZe acquired Drazah, OpTic signed Kenny, and Sib took over Priestahh’s spot, making a splash in the offseason. Toronto surprised everyone with their first move, and we anticipate other teams following suit in their efforts to match the talent of the top four teams.

CDL Rostermania ahead of Black Ops 6
As of August 19, 2024, organizations are now able to negotiate with players and offer them new contracts, marking the official start of free agency.
The 2024 CDL season commenced on Dec. 8, 2023, and Activision has yet to announce the start date for the following season. Regardless of when the first stage of Black Ops 6 online qualifiers begins, fans can anticipate a considerable amount of changes to team rosters in the coming months.
