Call of Duty Warzone Ranked Play: Divisions, Rewards, and Mechanics Explained

Warzone Ranked Play has returned in Season 6, providing players with additional rewards to strive for.

Making its debut in 2023, Ranked Play introduced a genuine competitive format to Call of Duty’s battle royale experience. After a brief hiatus, it reemerged alongside the integration of MW3 in December 2023.

A Ranked Play mode specifically for Urzikstan is on the roadmap but has yet to be implemented. In the meantime, all Ranked Play matches will unfold on the revamped Rebirth Island, resurrecting one of Warzone’s most acclaimed maps.

As for the state of Ranked Play in Season 6, the competitive mode remains robust, providing exciting new rewards for players to collect and showcase. This includes exclusive weapon camos and operator skins that are unattainable elsewhere.

Players can advance through eight Skill Divisions by achieving specific SR milestones. The current Divisions and their corresponding SR requirements are as follows:

  • Bronze – Starting Division
  • Silver – 900 SR
  • Gold – 2,100 SR
  • Platinum – 3,600 SR
  • Diamond – 5,400 SR
  • Crimson – 7,500 SR
  • Iridescent – 10,000 SR
  • Top 250 – 10,000+ SR

Skill Rating (SR) defines a player’s rank throughout the season across the aforementioned eight divisions, starting with all players in Bronze 1 with 0 SR.

Advancement through higher divisions requires achieving specific SR thresholds. Each division consists of three tiers, with the exception of the top two tiers, Iridescent and Top 250.

Earning SR

SR can primarily be earned through kills and assists, but players receive additional SR each time a teammate secures a kill. The SR rewarded for kills and assists escalates as fewer players remain, potentially exceeding 10 when only three squads are left.

Another method to accumulate SR is by lasting longer in matches. The amount of SR awarded is based on match placement, with first place offering 100 SR and the top 12 positions earning 20 SR each.

Bonus SR is available through Seasonal Challenges, such as winning a match or achieving 100 kills or assists. However, these rewards can only be claimed once per season until the next season begins.

Losing SR

While there are many opportunities to gain SR, it can also be lost just as swiftly. Players can lose SR in Warzone Ranked Play through Deployment Fees and Death Fees.

Deployment Fees

Entering a match incurs an SR cost, except for players in Bronze. Players in Silver Division and above must pay the following Deployment Fees:

RANK DEPLOYMENT FEE
Silver I -10 SR
Silver II -14 SR
Silver III -18 SR
Gold I -23 SR
Gold II -28 SR
Gold III -33 SR
Platinum I -39 SR
Platinum II -45 SR
Platinum III -51 SR
Diamond I -58 SR
Diamond II -65 SR
Diamond III -72 SR
Crimson I -80 SR
Crimson II -90 SR
Crimson III -100 SR
Iridescent & Top 250 -110 SR+

Death Fees

Death Fees take effect from Silver 1 onwards, penalizing players with SR loss for each death. The penalty increases per division tier, with Iridescent players facing the highest loss. The current Death Fee structure is as follows:

RANK DEATH FEE (per death)
Silver -2 SR
Gold -3 SR
Platinum -4 SR
Diamond -5 SR
Crimson -6 SR
Iridescent & Top 250 -7 SR
