Jura, featured in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, is undeniably one of the most formidable characters in the series. This has been proven time and time again, whether it be his initial clash with the protagonist or his recent attempt to end the protagonist’s life. With such incredible strength, one may ponder if Jura could possibly attain an additional power-up, particularly the Baryon Mode, to further enhance his might.
Despite the debate surrounding his abilities, the question remains whether Jura is capable of utilizing Baryon Mode. This possibility is unlikely as he is not a jinchuriki but rather a self-aware fragment of the Ten-tails, essentially a tailed beast. Even if he possessed the ability, it would not be feasible as not all tailed beasts are willing to sacrifice themselves for their jinchuriki.

Boruto: Two Blue Vortex: Investigating Jura’s Ability to Use Baryon
Jura is unable to utilize Baryon Mode as he is not a jinchuriki like Naruto Uzumaki. Rather, he is a self-aware fragment of the Ten-Tails, a tailed beast that must be sacrificed in order to activate Baryon Mode.
The Baryon Mode requires both the jinchuriki and the tailed beast, similar to how Naruto and Kurama executed the transformation in Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, resulting in the defeat of Isshiki Otsutsuki.
The Baryon Mode, featured in chapter 51 of Boruto, is a highly powerful and perilous ninjutsu technique. When the Hidden Leaf Village was under attack by Isshiki Otsutsuki, the protagonist utilized his Karma to transport them to a different dimension in order to protect the village from destruction.
Concerned for his son’s safety, Naruto, accompanied by Sasuke, pursued him into the unfamiliar dimension. Despite their efforts, the duo was ultimately outsmarted by the Otsutsuki, prompting Kurama to question his jinchuriki if he was willing to make the ultimate sacrifice in order to defeat their adversary.
Without any delay, Naruto was able to successfully compile and Kurama shared with him a new jutsu technique. This fusion technique was similar to a nuclear fusion reaction, resulting in a heightened chakra that surpassed both of their individual strengths. It was known as the Baryon Mode. As soon as Naruto transformed, his chakra levels soared.
Thankfully, due to the interconnectedness of all chakra, anyone that Naruto came into contact with while in this state would have their lifespan diminished. This made it possible for Naruto to defeat Isshiki Otsutsuki in the near future. Realizing he was no match for this new form, Isshiki Otsutsuki resorted to summoning Kawaki to the battlefield in an attempt to divert Naruto’s attention.
Thankfully, his body crumbled in time and Isshiki Otsutsuki was vanquished. Following the battle, Naruto passed out and was taken to the location where he was expected to bid farewell to the world, as he had used Baryon Mode at the cost of his life. However, that was not the truth as Kurama was the true sacrifice and dissipated before Naruto’s very eyes.
In Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter 4, Jura made his debut when the protagonist found himself teleported to the location where the Ten-Tails was being held captive. Immediately upon arrival, the Ten-Tails split into 4 conscious entities, with one of them being Jura.
Jura, from Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, is different from a jinchuriki in that she is a part of the Ten-tails rather than acting as a vessel for it. However, she is unable to use the Baryon Mode ninjutsu technique as it requires the merging of two distinct chakras to create a deadly final chakra.
