Nine Sols, the 2D action platformer hand-drawn by RedCandleGames, is now accessible on Steam and their shop for PC users. The game has minimal system requirements, making it easily playable on a wide range of hardware. However, can Nine Sols also be played on the Steam Deck?
Can You Play Nine Sols on Steam Deck?
The Steam Deck is capable of running Nine Sols and it runs smoothly.
As per our current progress, everything appears to be functioning properly. The cutscenes do not have any audio problems, the framerate remains stable, and I have not encountered any stuttering issues similar to those I experienced with The Rogue Prince of Persia.
Although minor aliasing can be seen here and there, it doesn’t significantly affect the gameplay. My only concern is that the button prompts and text can be a bit small, which may make them difficult to read. However, overall it doesn’t hinder the overall experience.
Is Nine Sols Steam Deck Verified?
Currently, Nine Sols is not verified for Steam Deck, but considering its smooth performance, it is likely to receive verification soon.
I have been consistently experiencing the game at 720p using the High preset and it has been a very consistent experience so far.
