In anticipation of her 10-year prison term, Candace Wright shared a series of emotional TikToks discussing her apprehensions and emotions prior to serving a minimum of 30% of her sentence.
Wright, aged 40, was initially taken into custody in October 2022 on charges of allegedly setting fire to a residence in Tennessee in 2019. On October 1, 2024, her charges expanded to include vandalism exceeding $250,000, aggravated burglary, theft of property valued over $10,000, and felony possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.
Reports indicate that prior to the alleged arson, Wright and an accomplice pilfered various items from the house, including a wedding dress, a cocktail gown, a collection of silver coins, jewelry, artwork, and multiple other belongings.
Wright described her experience on probation as “literal hell.”
Despite not formally pleading guilty, Wright accepted a ten-year plea agreement. Her attorney, Mark Donahoe, clarified, “The agreement entered did not require her to plead guilty or admit to the conduct. The law allows individuals to negotiate while not admitting to any alleged actions or facts.”
Wright’s TikTok account is now managed by her daughter, and the videos she posted in the lead-up to her sentence resonated deeply with viewers, leaving many “heartbroken.”
“I really messed up my family. I truly f*cked up, you know what I mean? I took everything too far,” said Wright on TikTok. “I crossed a line, and I really hurt those I care about most. I regret it deeply.”

She elaborated on her tormenting time on probation, revealing that her online presence prompted the court to search for potential violations.
“To be honest, I’ve become so numb after this two-plus-year ordeal and how this situation has unfolded, particularly how the case has been managed legally. I register what people are saying, but I’m also detached, if that makes sense,” she explained.

Although Wright accepted a plea deal resulting in a ten-year sentence, she will be eligible for parole after completing 30% of her time.
