On June 13th, a broadcasting official announced that Kim Seolhyun is in the final stages of talks to join the cast of the upcoming drama ‘Show Business’ (working title). The show will take place in the rapidly expanding world of show business, just after the Korean War, and will follow the lives of both performers and the individuals behind the scenes.
Although the details of Kim Seolhyun’s character have not been revealed, it is anticipated that her role will draw from her experience as a singer and center around the lives of singers who entertained the Eighth United States Army units. This part is viewed as a chance for her to utilize her singing background. By participating in this drama, Kim Seolhyun hopes to continue solidifying her acting career, which she has been steadily establishing since her debut in the 2012 KBS 2TV drama “My Daughter Seo-young” .
The partnership with prominent writer Noh Hee-kyung, renowned for producing popular shows in the broadcasting field, has generated considerable buzz. Noh has written several highly acclaimed dramas such as “Our Blues”and “Dear My Friends”.

Discussions are currently taking place for top stars such as Song Hye-kyo and Gong Yoo to be part of the cast. The drama is a collaboration between Studio Dragon and GTist, the agency of writer Noh Hee-kyung.
