Pokemon Go typically offers rewards to players for completing tasks, but the Max Out season has faced initial challenges due to the constant threat of glitches.
The main focus of the Pokemon Go business model is to encourage players to come back daily for short play sessions. Players are constantly enticed with new content, but only if they are willing to invest money into the game’s ecosystem.
To achieve this goal, the in-game seasons and events feature tasks that may require a few days or even weeks to finish. Despite the possibility of receiving undesirable items, players still complete these tasks in pursuit of valuable rewards.
It is advisable to delay any attempts at participating in the Max Out season events for Pokemon Go, as they will be available until December 3. This is due to reports from Pokemon Go Reddit users, who have experienced their progress being reset in the tasks, most likely due to a technical issue.
“Streak Broken” All my progress reset? byu/IWallyK inpokemongo
One user shared that they had just come to ask the same question. They received 3 random “streak broken”notifications upon logging on, and then the person began calling to give them the research again. This also wiped out their progress.
One user commented, “I just went on a 5km walk to reach the next page, and it reset. Looks like I’ll have to do it again tomorrow. What a waste of time.”Another user chimed in, “The same thing happened to me. I reported the bug, but I doubt it will be resolved. This has occurred with previous event quests as well, if I remember correctly.”
A particularly frustrating aspect of these resets is that the Dynamax Max Spot mechanic requires you to physically visit real-world locations. You are unable to use Remote Raid Passes to participate in them, as you can with regular Raids.
If you plan on participating in Dynamax battles in Pokemon Go, it may be wise to delay completing any tasks for a few days until Niantic resolves the resetting problem.
