CDL Pros Dominate Warzone’s Best on Black Ops 6’s Area 99 Map

During COD Next, several prominent Call of Duty professionals, streamers, and content creators had the opportunity to test out the highly anticipated Black Ops 6 and play on the new Resurgence map, Area 99, which will be released alongside it. The CDL stars proved their dominance by defeating their opponents.

The Call of Duty League is known to house the most skilled COD players globally, however, there has been ongoing discussion in recent times about whether they are superior to the Warzone pros.

Despite possessing impressive gunskill and movement, players such as DiazBiffle and Shifty may struggle to dominate in competitive COD, unlike in Warzone where they have proven to excel and perform at a high level. While they have the potential to challenge CDL pros, it remains to be seen if they can truly outperform them in a competitive environment.

Once again, this was put to the test on Wednesday, August 28, at COD NEXT, as Area 99 was revealed as the upcoming Resurgence map for Warzone.

Despite the presence of numerous skilled Warzone professionals and streamers, and the concurrent running of multiple matches, one particular trio consistently emerged victorious against all their opponents: OpTic Gaming’s Kenny ‘Kenny’ Williams, Anthony ‘Shotzzy’ Cuevas-Castro, and retired player Anthony ‘Methodz’ Zinni.

Despite facing tough competition, the trio managed to secure victories in four consecutive games, with one of them resulting in a remarkable 47 combined kills. Shotzzy, in particular, was only one kill short of achieving a 20-kill game with a total of 19 kills.

Despite facing tough competitors throughout the matches, Shotzzy and Kenny, who are only a month away from becoming two-time world champions, managed to hold their own and were difficult to bet against.

It should be noted that while the Warzone pros performed well in their own matches, the CDL’s top players overshadowed them on their own turf, proving that it wasn’t just a single Warzone LAN lobby.
