Cha Eun-woo’s Tribute to Moonbin on 1st Death Anniversary

Cha Eun-woo shared the cover photo for ASTRO JinJin’s new digital single “Fly”on his personal SNS account on April 19th.

The song “Fly”was personally written and composed by JinJin as a tribute to fans who are missing Moonbin. It holds even more significance as it was a collaborative effort between JinJin and Moonbin before his passing, thus featuring Moonbin’s vocals.

In his post, Cha Eun-woo included the SNS accounts of Moonbin and JinJin and expressed his longing and love for them with a heartfelt message.

Astro jinjin

Today (April 19th) commemorates the one-year anniversary of Moonbin’s unexpected death. The male idol was discovered deceased at his home in Gangnam-gu, Seoul on April 19th of last year.

This tragic announcement sent shockwaves throughout the entertainment world. Moonbin’s younger sister, Moon Sua, a member of the girl group Billlie, put all her plans on hold to make arrangements for her brother’s funeral. She had only just returned to the public eye after a prolonged break.

Moonbin’s closest companions, which included his fellow ASTRO members and SEVENTEEN’s Boo Seung-kwan & Woozi, as well as VIVIZ’s SinB & Umji, remained in deep mourning. In a heartfelt gesture, Woozi fulfilled his promise to Moonbin by releasing a song titled “What kind of future”on January 26th.

In 2006, at a young age, Moonbin gained the nickname “Little TVXQ”after starring in the music video for TVXQ’s “Balloon”. In 2009, he officially debuted as a child actor in KBS2’s drama “Boys Over Flowers”. In 2016, he made his idol debut with the boy group ASTRO and quickly gained a large fanbase from all over the world.
