During a teaser for his upcoming variety show appearance, Cha Eunwoo was shown crying as he talked about the late Moonbin, who was also a member of ASTRO.
In April 2023, the K-pop world was rocked by the unexpected news that Moonbin had been found dead in his home in Ganganm-gu, Seoul. It was reported that he had failed to attend rehearsals, prompting his manager to check on him and discover the tragic news.
After conducting an investigation, authorities reported that there were no indications of foul play in his death, causing speculation that he may have died by suicide. He was only 25 years old when he passed away.
Despite his passing, the ASTRO members have made it their mission to honor Moonbin and his family by continuously showing their love and support. Most recently, at their concert on May 4, the members were spotted standing behind Moonbin’s younger sister, Moon Sua, in a show of solidarity.

In January, Cha Eunwoo dedicated a cover of “Love is Gone”by Slander to Moonbin and released it. He also wrote a letter for the late ASTRO member in the description box of the video.
As he mentioned Moonbin, the idol was seen tearing up.
A preview video for “You Quiz on the Block”was released on their official channel on May 8, 2024, featuring their latest guest, Cha Eunwoo. In the video, Cha Eunwoo shared his past aspirations of becoming a teacher, professor, or doctor.
Despite the career path Yoo Jae Suk may have pursued, he affirmed that he would continue appearing on the show. Cha Eunwoo concurred, bursting into laughter before playfully assuming the roles of a teacher and a doctor.
Despite the initial pleasant mood, it didn’t last long. In the teaser, Cha Eunwoo is shown crying and confessing, “I believe this is why I was nervous about appearing on ‘You Quiz’.”
The idol-actor went on to mention, “In the previous year, there had been a…”but suddenly fell silent, struggling to find the words. Many speculate that he was referencing the tragic passing of Moonbin in 2023.

Despite fighting back tears, Cha Eunwoo mustered the courage to speak, stating, “Oh my… I need to express what’s been on my mind. I’ve been longing to say this for so long.”
