Reports have stated that Annie Moon, also known as Moon Seo Yoon and the granddaughter of Shinsegae chairman, will no longer be a member of THEBLACKLABEL’s girl group.
An exclusive report was released by Xsportsnews on May 10, revealing the potential line-up for THEBLACKLABEL’s forthcoming girl group. As per the report, chaebol heiress Annie Moon has allegedly not been included in producer Teddy’s final selection for the group.
Annie Moon belongs to a wealthy family in South Korea, as her grandfather is Lee Myung Hee, the chairman of the prominent conglomerate Shinsegae. Her mother, Jung Yoo Kyung, holds the position of president at Shinsegae Department Store, and her brother, Jung Yong-jin, is the chairman of Shinsegae Group. The estimated net worth of her family is around $1.27 billion USD.
Despite previous rumors that Annie would join the new group along with American child actress and model Ella Gross and renowned dancer Bailey Sok, it has been confirmed that Annie Moon will not be debuting with them. She has been removed from the line-up, and her current status as a trainee under the agency is unknown.
In February 2024, the release of photos featuring trainees from THEBLACKLABEL caused a stir on social media. Despite the frenzy, THEBLACKLABEL remained tight-lipped about the debut of Annie Moon as a member of their upcoming group. In an exclusive statement to JTBC news, they stated, “We will disclose further information at a later time.”

Despite the absence of “Shinsegae’s granddaughter”as a member of the line-up, THEBLACKLABEL is still in the process of preparing for the debut of their first girl group in the first half of this year. The exact debut date is still unknown, and the members, official name, and debut schedule have not been announced at this time.
Teddy, renowned for his management of popular girl groups such as 2NE1 and BLACKPINK under YG Entertainment, is currently in charge of THEBLACKLABEL and is preparing for the debut of his latest project, “Teddy’s girl group.”The label currently represents a diverse roster of talented artists including Jeon Somi, Taeyang, Zion.T, LOREN, Vince, R.Tee, and Bryan Chase.
The label is home to the popular actors Park Bo Gum and Lee Jong Won.
