Chained Together has emerged as one of the unexpected successes of 2024 and is among a multitude of summit climbing games known for their maddening level of difficulty, alongside titles such as Only Up and Getting Over It.
In contrast to its predecessors, Chained Together allows you to shift the blame onto your friends for any failures. This is due to the game’s cooperative nature, as players must work together to reach the summit (unless you are playing solo).
Chained Up was designed with an in-game timer and global leaderboard, making it perfect for speedrunning. So, who currently holds the record?
Chained Together speedrunning categories
Chained Together has two primary divisions: Any% NoWings and Any% Wings.
In Chained Together, there are two categories: one allows the use of wings while the other does not. The game features Wings, scattered throughout, which grant temporary flight and make scaling the summit a more manageable task.
The Chained Together speedrunning community has a higher preference for the NoWings category. Along with the primary categories, there are also subcategories for one to four players.
Currently, the most popular type of runs in both major categories are solo runs, with only a total of two non-solo runs having been recorded.

Chained Together speedrun world record
Currently, the individual holding the world record for the NoWings solo run category in Chained Together – the most widely recognized category – is Suitchi7, with an in-game time of 58 minutes and 37 seconds.
Suitchi7 has consistently outperformed other speedrunners, finishing nearly a minute ahead of the second-place run. Throughout the duration of the active speedrunning leaderboard, they have continuously traded the top spot.
Suitchi7 has also achieved speedrun completions in various games, particularly in Only Up where he currently holds the 19th rank.
At present, Suitchi7’s Chained Together run appears to be their inaugural world record. Nevertheless, as the game’s popularity continues to rise, they may soon be surpassed.
