In the recent months, the reappearance of characters from part 1 has been one of the most captivating elements of Tatsuki Fujimoto’s original Chainsaw Man manga series. Throughout the last twenty chapters, fans have been delighted to see all of the Weapon Hybrids, with the exception of Reze, make a comeback. Additionally, the first sighting of Pochita in part 2 has only added to the excitement.
Despite the unfortunate events occurring in Denji’s “happy”life in Chainsaw Man part 2, it has been an exhilarating addition to the Academy saga. Additionally, in chapter 162, Quanxi reappeared as an antagonistic force against Asa and his companions, hindering their efforts to rescue Denji.
Yet, what is particularly noteworthy about Quanxi’s recent appearance in Chainsaw Man is that it may pave the way for the comeback of a beloved character that readers have been eagerly anticipating. In fact, her statements are so straightforward that many are speculating the character may reemerge even before Asa and his companions manage to escape from the Tokyo Devil Detention Center.
Kishibe’s Possible Return in Chainsaw Man Part 2 According to Quanxi’s Recent Dialogue
In Chainsaw Man chapter 162, Quanxi’s words appeared to foreshadow Kishibe’s return as she witnessed Nobana Higashiyama using Denji’s severed head as a shield. When Devil Hunter Takagi instructed her to continue killing all those present, she mentioned that “an old friend”had warned her not to make an enemy of Denji. Although she did not explicitly reveal who this friend was, many fans are speculating that it is Kishibe, considering their long-standing acquaintance.
Based on the events of the Denji Rescue arc, it seems highly probable that Kishibe will make his return. One potential scenario for his reappearance could be through Hirofumi Yoshida’s interference with Asa’s group as they flee the facility. In this situation, Kishibe may step in to confront them, especially if Yoru decides to spare Quanxi and she joins Asa’s group.
Fujimoto could also choose to include him in the arc’s conclusion, potentially setting the stage for Denji and his next actions. While Asa may also join them, now that she understands Denji’s true identity, it cannot be assumed that Yoru would be willing to collaborate closely with Chainsaw Man. This, in turn, may lead to Yoru disclosing her past connection with Pochita, the Chainsaw Devil.
Despite the uncertainty, it is highly likely that Fujimoto has a purpose for bringing back Quanxi and mentioning Kishibe at this particular moment in the arc. The fact that this is happening alongside the potential climax of the arc implies that Kishibe will make a reappearance in the final chapters. At the very least, this foreshadows his return in the near future, especially given the timing of part 2 and the current events.
It can be inferred that Kishibe advised Quanxi not to antagonize Denji after his victory over Makima during the timeskip between part 1 and 2. Considering Kishibe’s previous affiliation with Public Safety, it is probable that Quanxi had this conversation with him while they were both employed by Public Safety.
It is highly likely that Kishibe is aware of the ongoing Denji rescue and may choose to intervene at some point during or after the rescue.
It is particularly thrilling that Kishibe is expected to make a comeback, as he still holds influence within Public Safety, particularly in certain areas. Additionally, he may be able to recruit more Devil Hunters and supporters of Chainsaw Man to join him and Denji. While Kishibe may have personal motives for helping Denji, they are unlikely to be malicious or detrimental to Denji, considering his previous portrayal.
