Changes confirmed for Dragon’s Dogma 2: new part, graphics settings…

Although Dragon’s Dogma 2 had a fairly successful launch, players quickly complained about having to delete their save files to start a new game and spoke out against the microtransactions present in the game.

Taking all the feedback into account, Capcom announced on X/Twitter that they will be releasing fixes and new features in upcoming updates.

All Upcoming Updates for Dragon’s Dogma 2

Here are the changes that will be implemented in Dragon’s Dogma 2 in the next updates:

All platforms

  • Added Start a new game option when save data already exists.
  • Changed the number of options from the “Art of Transfiguration” book present in the Pawn Guild to 99.
  • Make the quest where players can acquire their own home (where they can save and rest) available earlier in the game.
  • Miscellaneous text display fixes.
  • Fixed various bugs.

PlayStation 5 et Xbox Series X

  • Added option to enable or disable motion blur in Options.
  • Added option to enable or disable Ray Tracing in Options.
  • Added option to set variable refresh rate or limit it to 30 FPS in Options.

The developers also confirmed that frame rate improvements are planned for future updates in Dragon’s Dogma 2.

Steam

  • Improved quality when Super Resolution DLSS is available.
  • Fixed the issue where models appeared in low quality under certain resolutions.

Being able to start a new game at any time was a feature highly requested by players.

The developers confirmed that they will add this feature, but did not specify when they will roll out this update.
