Jodio Joestar and his team were on their way to their next mission in JoJoLands chapter 14, all in the car and engrossed in their respective tasks. Jodio was playing a game on his handheld console, while Paco Lovelantes studied a map of their target building. Dragona Joestar was applying her makeup in the backseat, while Usagi Aloha’oe snacked on food and Charmingman quenched his thirst with water.

Paco ridiculed Meryl Mei for taking on this job before announcing to the rest of the team that it was time to commence the operation. Dragona, Usagi, and Charmigman all left the car and proceeded towards the building, while Jodio and Paco stayed behind and drove off. Once inside the building, a visibly anxious Usagi stumbled and accidentally dropped the food he had brought, causing the security guards to immediately take notice of their presence.

As JoJoLand’s chapter 14 began recounting the instructions given by Meryl to the group, a flashback was triggered. Meryl had stressed the importance of Dragona, Usagi, and Charmingman entering the state land registry building. She had also explained the process of obtaining a land deed and made sure to highlight that all original copies were kept at the state’s land registry.

Meryl proceeded to draw a comparison between a 20-dollar bill and the original deeds, highlighting their similarity as mere pieces of paper with ink on them. She emphasized that it is human society that assigns value to these objects. The Lava Rock’s reaction to the 20-dollar bill further emphasized this concept. Meryl then stated that the same principle applies to land, and their objective is to obtain the original copies of the deeds and physically touch them with the Lava Rock.

JoJoLands chapter 14 then witnessed her declaring their plan to claim all of Howler’s land as their own, with an estimated worth of 50 billion dollars. She emphasized the need for caution due to the unknown powers of the Lava Rock, stressing the importance of leaving no trace at the registry. This involved erasing security camera footage, eliminating fingerprints and DNA evidence, and avoiding any actions that would leave a lasting impression on witnesses.

At that point, the focus returned to the present, with Usagi offering apologies to the security guards and reassuring Dragona and Charmingman that everything was under control. Dragona proceeded to hand Charmingman a fabricated identification card created by her Stand, Smooth Operators, which he then used to obtain permission to view the original deeds from a nearby front desk.

In chapter 14 of JoJoLands, Usagi utilized his Matte Kudasai Stand to manipulate the videos of himself and his companions, substituting them with footage of other individuals. Meanwhile, Charmingman was restricted to digital records only and had to fabricate a story about Usagi being a student in order to access the physical copies. This allowed the group to view the land deeds, but they had to be escorted by security guards and the receptionist.

The receptionist informed Usagi and the others that she would personally handle the copies and asked them not to touch them while browsing. Dragona saw this as a benefit, as the receptionist was wearing gloves and it ensured that they would not leave any fingerprint evidence.

During chapter 14 of JoJoLands, Dragona attempted to move her brooch containing the Lava Rock closer to the paper copies while Usagi distracted the receptionist. As the Lava Rock began to vibrate, it drew some of the papers towards it. All three individuals noticed this and comprehended the situation, while the receptionist, although seeing it, appeared to be perplexed.

The three quickly exited the building, with Dragona confirming that she had successfully touched all of the original copies with the Lava Rock. The Matte Kudasai also hurried out of the building and joined them, while Usagi complained of an upset stomach. Charmingman then informed them that he had contacted Jodio and Paco, as Usagi collapsed on the stairs and began vomiting, claiming to be out of breath.

In chapter 14 of JoJoLands, Usagi exclaimed that something was emerging from him uncontrollably and urgently requested the others to seek medical help as he was struggling to breathe. Charmingman then observed that the substance was hazy and not a result of the food Usagi consumed. To demonstrate, he lifted his shirt, exposing the growth of rocky scales on Usagi’s neck, chest, and face.

When he inquired about Usagi’s health, Dragona was unable to provide any information on whether he had a chronic illness or how long it had been going on. Dragona attempted to call an ambulance, but Charmingman cautioned against it as it would reveal their location. The chapter concluded with Usagi’s breathing ceasing, causing Dragona to suspect an enemy attack. As Jodio and Paco arrived, they remarked that the trio appeared to be “relaxing.”

In review

In JoJoLands chapter 14, the heist of Jodio and his comrades is shrouded in mystery, as there appears to be no apparent attack on Usagi during the issue. It is highly probable that the group’s plan was leaked to an enemy, adding another level of intrigue as to who could have betrayed them. The chapter effectively builds suspense and sets the stage for a thrilling mystery.

The situation also effectively shifts the spotlight away from Jodio and Paco, who were heavily featured in the previous mission’s conclusion. This trend is expected to persist during the current mission, as Usagi, Dragona, and Charmingman face the enemy threat without their assistance.

In summation

In summary, chapter 14 of JoJoLands is full of excitement as it reveals a new job, offers a fresh perspective on the Lava Rock’s powers, and hints at a possible new adversary. The outcome of the characters’ latest mission is uncertain, but it is clear that they will face a significant challenge in their quest for success.
