The release of Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 259 spoilers left fans heartbroken as they revealed the death of Choso. Despite his efforts to save his brother Yuji, Choso ultimately gave his life in the face of Sukuna’s flames. It is safe to say that this was an incredibly heartbreaking moment.

Despite the despairing situation, there is a glimmer of hope – Todo Aoi has reappeared. Just as he did during the Shibuya Incident, the Topknot Gorilla has come to rescue his brother from the depths of despair. After Choso’s demise, Yuji seemed to have lost all hope and was ready to succumb to Sukuna’s flames once again, but Todo’s return gave him the strength to fight and escape.

Despite the situation, there is no need to lose hope as long as Todo Aoi is by your side. In a flashback, it was revealed that the Grade 1 Sorcerer and Mei Mei had a contingency plan. They planned to use Todo’s Boogie Woogie ability to switch the positions of the Jujutsu High sorcerers with the crows owned by the latter.

Despite the fact that Todo had lost a hand, this task would prove to be quite challenging. On top of that, Choso and Yuji were situated in the heart of Sukuna’s Domain, making it even more complicated. Nevertheless, Todo was determined to succeed, claiming that he could still sense the “heartbeat”of his technique.

In the present, Todo urges his brother Yuji to trust that their allies are unharmed. Realizing the seriousness of the situation, Yuji strengthens his determination and charges forward with his brother towards an empty-handed Sukuna. This entire scenario closely mirrors the events of the Shibuya Incident.

During the Shibuya Incident, Mahito successfully made contact with Nobara’s eye during their confrontation and caused it to explode in front of Yuji, leading him to believe she was dead. This traumatic experience left Yuji vulnerable and defenseless against the Cursed Spirit’s attack. With his physical and mental state in shambles, Mahito prepared to deliver the finishing strike.

However, that scenario did not come to pass. A resounding clap was heard and Yuji disappeared, saved by his brother Todo Aoi. It was at this moment that Todo delivered his renowned motivational speech, “We are the exception.”

Yuji was deeply moved by the words spoken by Arata Nitta, a character from Jujutsu Kaisen known for his healing abilities. This, combined with Nitta’s healing powers, sparked something within Yuji. He felt a surge of energy, completely disregarding any lingering injuries, and charged at Mahito with renewed determination. In fact, Yuji even tapped into 120% of his potential during the intense battle.

Final Thoughts

Perhaps with Todo back at his side, Yuji is once again poised for a surge of strength. In a recent battle, he had caught the King of Curses off guard with a relentless onslaught of 8 Black Flashes.

With the introduction of Todo, the balance could shift back in favor of the Jujutsu High sorcerers once again. While the brothers occupy Sukuna, the other fighters may have a chance to take a break and then rejoin the battle to assist them.
