After the recent developments in Chapter 261, Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 262 may finally provide an answer to a question that Geto had posed to Gojo many years ago.
Despite their close friendship during their youth, Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto are now known as two of the most tragic characters in Jujutsu Kaisen. While they were once inseparable, Geto’s loss of faith in the jujutsu society and his intense hatred for non-sorcerers led him down a dark path, causing him to commit horrific acts and ultimately driving a wedge between the two friends.
At the moment of their heartbreaking separation in Shibuya, Geto posed two questions to Gojo, both questioning his position in the jujutsu society. Geto asked, “Are you considered the strongest because of your identity as Satoru Gojo? Or is your identity as Satoru Gojo a result of being the strongest?”
For years, it remained unanswered. However, with Gojo’s comeback in Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 261, the possibility arises that Geto’s question may finally be answered in Chapter 262.
In Chapter 261, Gojo made a miraculous return from death, but with an unexpected turn of events. Despite his demise at the hands of Sukuna, Ieiri was able to mend his body, which was then taken over by Yuta through the use of Kenjaku’s cursed technique.

Although the body belongs to Gojo, the one who has returned is not entirely him. This is because the soul residing within is that of Yuta’s. However, with access to all of Gojo’s techniques, the younger sorcerer is ready to face Sukuna, marking the beginning of the next round in the Gojo vs Sukuna battle.
In Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 262, the complete fight will be showcased and Geto’s question will finally be answered. If Yuta succeeds in defeating or overpowering Sukuna using Gojo’s powers, it will imply that Gojo’s abilities were the sole reason for his status as the strongest sorcerer, with no acknowledgement to his own efforts.
If Sukuna were to completely defeat Yuta in a similar manner as he did with all other characters except for Gojo, it would solidify Gojo’s status as the strongest due to his unique abilities and skill. The combined powers of the Six Eyes and Limitless would still not be able to create another sorcerer as powerful as Gojo.
Discovering the solution to Geto’s inquiry will provide additional depth to Gojo’s persona and enhance readers’ comprehension of the jujutsu realm.
The release dates for Jujutsu Kaisen Chapters 261 and 262 have been set for May 26, 2024 and June 9, 2024 respectively, with a short break in between.
