Chapter 6 Fortnite Players Express Disappointment Over “Lazy” New Skin

In the vibrant world of Fortnite, players have voiced their dissatisfaction over one of the skins featured in the current Battle Pass, labeling it as “lazy” and “boring” due to its lack of customization options.

As Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1 unfolds, it has brought an array of exciting new game modes, along with fresh locations and weapons enhancements. With the arrival of Winterfest, players are also treated to a variety of freebies, including cosmetics that can be collected through present-giving experiences, heightening the festive atmosphere.

Despite the overall excitement surrounding the new cosmetics, one particular skin has come under fire from the community, with numerous players expressing their disappointment. This skin, known as Daigo, is part of the current season’s Battle Pass.

Missed Potential of Fortnite’s Daigo Skin

At first glance, the Daigo skin appears visually appealing; however, its in-game description refers to him as a “man of a thousand faces.” This title has set high expectations for players who anticipated a skin with multiple masks, reflecting the rich imagery associated with Oni Masks that are currently featured in the game.

Unfortunately, players have pointed out that Daigo is limited to just one mask, which can be toggled on or off, leaving many feeling disappointed. This led to a surge of critical feedback on social media platforms. One Reddit user remarked:

How can they call him “man of thousand faces”and “the mask maker”and then give him literally one single mask? Daigo is such a disappointing skin. by u/mnaumnaumiau in FortNiteBR

This sentiment was echoed by numerous fans, with one user lamenting that Daigo’s design choices missed an opportunity for customization. “They could’ve implemented quests around the map to unlock new masks like they’ve done in previous chapters; that’s a huge miss” they stated.

In another comment, a frustrated player said, “It’s a shame they didn’t offer more mask unlocks. It could have been an engaging feature. Epic Games seems to be taking the easy route with this one.” Another player suggested that Daigo could have been designed with a wide range of masks similar to the character Haven from Chapter 3, Season 1, who boasted multiple styling options.

While there are those who argue that Daigo still maintains a certain aesthetic charm, many agree that the skin falls flat in terms of customization and creativity. One comment stands out, stating, “His design is overall quite boring. The super styles are the only thing saving it.”

In summary, the community’s mixed reactions highlight a clear divide among players regarding the Daigo skin. While some appreciate its appearance, a significant portion feel let down by the lack of depth and personalization it offers compared to past skins.
