2. Who is Hwang Dongsoo’s Brother?
Hwang Dongsuk, Dongsoo’s elder brother, was a C-rank hunter whose career met a tragic end in a dungeon while attempting to betray and loot unsuspecting hunters. Like his younger sibling, Dongsuk was arrogant and ruthless, showcasing a blatant disregard for human life.

Hwang Dongsoo’s pursuit of Sung Jinwoo is fueled by revenge for the death of his brother, Hwang Dongsuk, whom Jinwoo killed during a fateful dungeon raid. In the Dungeons and Lizards Arc, both Jinwoo and Yoo Jinho were part of a team that included Dongsuk, who had ulterior motives of betrayal.
Once they entered the Boss Chamber, Dongsuk’s treachery unfolded, leading to a deadly encounter when he attempted to trap Jinwoo and Jinho. Despite the chaos, Jinwoo proved his mettle, defeating the dungeon’s guardian and subsequently taking on Dongsuk’s team after being tasked by the system to eliminate them.
This clash escalated into animosity, prompting Dongsoo’s return to South Korea with the intention of avenging his brother’s demise, believing that Jinwoo would not survive the upcoming challenges.
4. Can Jinwoo Overcome Dongsoo?
Jinwoo is anticipated to face Dongsoo during the “International Guild Conference Arc,” where a dramatic abduction of Jinho serves as bait against Jinwoo. However, Dongsoo underestimates Jinwoo, who has become a significantly more powerful adversary since their last encounter.
Utilizing his shadow soldiers, Jinwoo locates Jinho and teleports to the designated area for a showdown. Nevertheless, just as the intensity rises, the appearance of Thomas Andre shifts the dynamics considerably.
In this unexpected twist, Thomas demands Dongsoo’s freedom, but Jinwoo, driven by anger and the need for justice, overcomes both Dongsoo and Thomas, claiming victory while seizing Dongsoo’s shadow, Greed.
