Cheaters in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero Disrupting Matches Just Days After Launch

It appears that shortly after the launch of Dragon Ball Sparking Zero, players have encountered instances of cheating in multiplayer matches, with numerous users sharing questionable footage online.

On the official Sparking Zero Reddit forum, a player uploaded a video showcasing a cheater who managed to exploit a hack that continuously replenishes their Ki meter. This exploit allows them to perpetually unleash super attacks without facing any repercussions.

The footage highlights a scenario where the player’s Gogeta character attempts to charge their Ki, but is consistently interrupted by Kelfa’s Gigantic Ray. This effectively prevents Gogeta from executing any of his ultimate moves, while the cheater takes advantage of the situation to launch their ultimate attacks nonstop.

Despite Gogeta’s best efforts to evade Kelfa’s onslaught, the overwhelming number of ultimate attacks unleashed by the cheater leaves little room for retaliation. Just hours after the clip was shared, members of the community began identifying the origins of the cheating mechanism.

Players have reported that the Ki auto-refresh exploit is derived from a mod published on Nexus Mods, a platform where gaming enthusiasts can upload and download modifications for various games. As of October 14, 2024, this particular mod has been removed and is no longer available for download.

Additionally, reports of infinite Ki regeneration have surfaced on X, with other players experiencing similar situations. However, some community members expressed skepticism regarding the cheating allegations depicted in the clip.

“He’s using the God Ki ability capsule,” one user commented. “He’s not cheating; it just requires a small effort to customize your character appropriately.”

For those unfamiliar, the God Ki ability reduces the Ki cost for super attacks by half and replenishes your meter if an attack misses. Hence, it is possible that the original poster is merely utilizing game mechanics in multiplayer.

Regardless, it’s evident that facing opponents with instantly replenishing Ki in online matches can be immensely frustrating. We advise players to review their settings and ensure the “God Ki” capsule is disabled. If you suspect someone of cheating, don’t hesitate to report them.
