Choi Min-hwan of FT Island Faces Investigation Amid Ex-Wife Yulhee’s Misconduct Claims

The recent uproar began when Yulhee, known for her time with LABOUM and being the ex-wife of Choi Min-hwan, shared a contentious video on her YouTube channel titled “Yulhee’s House” .

In the video, Yulhee revealed, “Around a year prior to our separation, a notable incident took place. I overheard my in-laws speaking negatively about me. My ex-husband Choi Min-hwan would touch me inappropriately around family or sometimes slip money into my clothing when intoxicated. This behavior occurred even before I was aware of the ‘club incident.’”

She went on to claim, “He would touch me inappropriately and grab my chest in front of his family. At first, I thought it was just alcohol-induced behavior, but reflecting on it, I realized it was a pattern he was unlikely to change.”

Additionally, she shared an audio recording, allegedly from 2022, where Choi reportedly states, “I sneaked out,” “Are there girls?” and “Please set something up.” He also inquires, “Send me the information via Telegram, and I’ll send the money,” indicating his intent to “go out and have a good time.”

In the wake of these claims, there is growing speculation regarding Choi Min-hwan’s position in FT Island. As a member of the band, many are reminded of Choi Jong-hoon’s exit due to his involvement in the “Burning Sun” controversy, leading to questions about whether Choi Min-hwan could face a similar fate if Yulhee’s accusations are substantiated.

In light of the serious nature of the allegations, FNC Entertainment has announced they are thoroughly evaluating the situation.

Choi Min-hwan and Yulhee wed in 2018, and together they have three children. They made public their surprising divorce last year after five years of marriage. Currently, Choi Min-hwan has custody of their kids and shares insights into his parenting on the show “The Return of Superman.”
